The Griller of the Year (GOY) was introduced for 2023 to encourage participation including on the Facebook Group, inviting friends and family to participate as well as attending and hosting meatings and events and winning the Grill Master Championship (GMC) monthly.  At the end of the year, the Griller with the highest score will be crowned the GOY and all the benefits that come with a prestigious award, special apparel and an honorary dinner! This will be updated monthly, so if you If you feel that the tracking is wrong or you're missing some points feel free to reach out to us.   

The scoring: 

• Attending a Meating or sanctioned event = 1 pt

• Hosting a Meating or sanctioned event= 1 pt (you will also be counted as an attendee which is actually 2 points!)

• Winning a Grill Master Championship (GMC)= 1 pt (less than 4 people attending a meeting, no GMC will be selected)

• Bringing/referring a first time attendee to a Meating (excludes coed meatings or sanctioned event)= 1 pt
